American, late 19th/early 20th century. A stained walnut ladies' secretary in two parts, the upper portion having a molded cornice, with two glazed doors, each with double arched mullions, the lower portion with a locking roll top, opening to reveal a felted writing surface, five document compartments, and two drawers, with one overhanging long drawer over two inset long drawers, with fluted stiles accented with a ball, turned wood knobs, and a fluted base with castor feet. Approximate height 80.75", width 33.325", depth 22".
