American, late 19th century. A set of six carved oak side chairs, each with a scalloped crest rail, with two rounded ring turned seat rails, with a banded, horizontal birdcage back with tapering ring turned stiles, over a white muslin upholstered seat, on four rounded tapering legs with banding, with a double box stretcher. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 34", width 16.5", seat depth 15", seat to floor 17.5".
