English, first half of 18th Century. A mahogany and elm corner chair in the Queen Anne style comprising a half-round crest rail with cavetto molded corners terminating in scrolled arms over three turned cylindrical styles punctuated by two vasiform splats within cavetto molded shoes over the needlepoint upholstered seat in bold shades of red, lime, brown, azure, cream, indigo, and mustard, surmounting a cyma-curved apron resting on three cabriole front legs on biscuit feet with molded corners and a cylindrical back leg joined by four a x-turned stretchers with central quatrefoil to a cylindrical back leg. Approximate height 34", width 30", depth 25.25", seat to floor 20.5".
