Moscow: TSENTRIFUGA, 1917. 12 plates reproducing works by Picasso, original wrappers with large pictorial label by Alexandra Ekster. 4to (260 x 195 mm), one of 1000 copies. An important early treatise on Picasso and Cubism with Ekster`s striking cover design. Ivan Aksenov (1883-1935) was associated with the Constructivists and worked in the theatre of Vsevolod Meyerhold, also serving as the dean of its directors` school. Critic, poet, and translator, he was an outstanding representative of the genre crossing and internationalist spirit of Russian avant-garde art.
