of rectangular form, depicting a silver pheasant of the fifth rank facing the sun, standing on rockery with both wings stretched out amongst ruyi clouds, bats, lotus and ribbon-tied Buddhist emblems, all above crashing waves and lishui stripes, bordered by a band of shou characters, framed. 17 1/2 x 17 1/2 inches. Overall good condition with no major tears, loose threads and restoration to the embroidered decoration. Some loose strings to the gilt wrapped line borders. Four small missing pieces to the black cloth edges.
