19th century of rectangular form, embellished in gold hiramaki-e and takamaki-e depicting a continuous landscape showing figures crossing a bridge amongst pines and steep mountains with pavilions, against a nashiji and black ground, signed with a four-character maker's mark; together with a carved boxwood mask form netsuke with a two-character maker's mark. Height 3 3/4 inches. Property of a Private Midwest Collector Note: Accompanied by a copy of a sales receipt from Honeychurch Antiques, Seattle, Washington, dated September 26, 1991. Overall good condition with no major dents, damages or restoration. Three small areas of losses of lacquer to the underside.
