the first a bronze example of rounded form with steep sloping sides depicting mice and a rope, the cover pierced with scrolls, surmounted by two mice on a mallet; the second an iron example of geometric form with steep walls depicting a mountainous landscape scene, with two ring handles on each side, the shoulders with a keyfret motif and the bronze cover surmounted by a floriform finial. Height of first 6 inches.
