the rectangular sectioned body having russet hues, carved to the front and back showing a pair of phoenix and lingzhi sprigs forming stylized taotie masks above leaves, the sides carved in high relief depicting climbing chilongs suspending loose rings, the domed cover surmounted by a square form finial, raised on a fitted wood stand. Height of jade 7 7/8 inches. Property from the Collection of Timothy Toomey, Iowa City, Iowa Overall decent condition. Fretting to edges. Visibly polished finish. The stand is attached. Celadon color is mostly even throughout with one edge showing a mottled light brown inclusion.
