daoguang period (1821-1851) the exterior finely painted to depict an official wearing pink robes and a blue cape, his attendants following him, raised on a tall foot decorated with lotus scrolls, bearing a Daoguang six-character iron red mark within a square panel against a turquoise ground, raised on a hardwood stand; together with a famille rose jar painted with two scholars playing chess in a fenced garden. Width of first 5 3/4 inches. Property from the Estate of Pieter Christiaan Jongeneel, Clarens/Montreux, Switzerland The tri-lobe bowl in good condition with no apparent chips, hairlines or restoration. A few minor rubbing of glaze to the interior. Minor shelf wear to the foot ring; the globular vessel in decent condition with no visible hairlines or restoration, pitting to the interior, wear to the underside, chips to the mouth.
