the robust body with rounded shoulders, with gilt highlights depicting two main rectangular reserves each enclosing a flower-filled basket, alternating with shaped panels filled with bogu motifs and floral sprigs, interspersed with lotus scrolls, all benearth a band of ruyi heads with shou characters and flowerheads, and a keyfret band to the mouth rim, having a matching carved rosewood cover. Height 12 inches. Overall decent condition with no apparent chips, hairlines or restoration. Having rubbing of gilt and surface scratches, one small area of tape residue. The jar is glued to the base. The cover having some shrinkage, surface scratches and missing one section to the rim.
