Chinese, 20th century. A large an impressively carved wood inkstone, likely Zitan or Hongmu, presenting as a four-clawed dragon crouching to an organically shaped base with incised cloud scrolls, the dragon with head lifted off the base with orange eyes and the well to it's back. Marked to underside with incised then reddened series of calligraphic marks. Approximate height 3.375", width 14.625", depth 6.75".
