A necklace and earring Georgian amethyst set circa 1830, mounted in Pinchbeck (an alloy of copper and zinc). The necklace is in the Girandole style designed with 11 open back amethysts with the rest foil backed with a detachable pendant. The pair of foil back earrings are of similar style and test 18K yellow gold (the post tops have been later added). Jane Fonda wore the set at Troy Garity and Simone Bent's wedding in New York City on August 25, 2007. According to Fonda, the set belonged to her maternal grandmother, Sophie Seymour.
