19th century. Hand painted oblong octagonal tole tray with pierced handles on sides with leaf and floral banding surrounding mountainous winter scene with frozen river beside cottages and fencing. Unsigned. Well rendered tole peinte tray protected by fitted beveled glass. Removable tray raised on a black lacquered faux bamboo stand with X frame cross support. Approximate overall height 22.75", width 28", depth 19.5".
