Watercolor, Ink, and Gilt Paper Applique Family Group, England, 19th century, the gentleman in military regalia holding a rose and a cane, the lady in a rust-colored dress holding a parasol, and the child between them wearing a checked dress, all above a written verse, with gilt paper applique highlights to the gentleman's hat and plate, the child's hat, and the border surrounding the verse, (cracking to some pigment, minor fading, minor moisture staining), 8 1/2 x 7 in. (sight), in a rosewood veneer frame with gilt liner.
