Lawson's Dreamwold Estate, Scituate, Massachusetts, early 20th century, composed of three panels joined by iron hinges the front of each, leather, with embossed and painted three masted sailing ships above a pair of baluster columns divided by circular medallions, the top of each screen with depictions of towers on Lawson's estate, the back of the panels composed of brown-painted cloth, all bordered with brass tacks, ht. 69, wd. 75 in. Note: Thomas W. Lawson (1857-1925) a prominent and sometimes controversial Boston businessman and stock promoter. Lawson's 300-acre Dreamworld estate was intended to be composed of residential and farm buildings constructed to the highest-possible standards. The tower still stands today as a prominent Scituate landmark.
