Friendly Fire Society Painted Leather Fire Bucket, Cambridge, Massachusetts, c. 1819, red-painted rim above a conical body identified as bucket "No 1," decorated with a scroll with owner's name "D. BOUTELLE," above "F.F.S.," (missing handle), ht. 13 1/2, dia. 8 1/2 in. Note: David Boutelle (1791-1883) was admitted as a member of the Friendly Fire Society in Cambridge, Massachusetts, January 25, 1819.
