having a recessed mouth rim and a straight short foot, painted to the body depicting a striding dragon and a flying phoenix amidst clusters of clouds above mountain peaks, flanked by a pair of elephant-head form handles, the cover having floral decoration surmounted by a seated fu lion form finial with its right front paw resting on a yellow ball, bearing a six-character Wanli mark in underglaze blue to the underside. Height 4 1/2 inches. in good condition overall; glaze skips at handles; lid with crack to one side (additional images available)
