republic period the rounded body rising to a slightly flared mouth, supported on a short straight foot, densely painted with numerous blooming flower heads, having gilt highlighted mouth and foot rim, the interior and the underside glazed turquoise, bearing a six-character Jiaqing iron red mark to the underside. Diameter 4 1/2 inches. hairline extending from top rim through to opposite rim. Rubbing to the gilt and other areas, otherwise light surface wear. Few pits to the glaze. Light discoloration in areas.
