French, 18th century. After Anthony van Dyck (Flemish, 1599-1641), “Pierre Paul Rubensâ€, engraved by Gerard Audran (French, 1640-1703) and published by Gaspard Duchange in Paris in 1712. Engraving depicts Rubens in bust length half profile in a central cartouche surrounded by scrolls, flowers, and a plaque displaying a single fleur-de-lis., inscribed in French below the image, and lower right "Van Dyck pinxit", and lower right "J.M. Nattier Delin, J. Audran Scul, 1710". Framed 30.25" x 24.75", unframed sight size 20.5" x 15".
