A Gosu Blue Satsuma pottery vase converted to a table lamp, the pottery baluster urn form with allover dark blue or black ground decorated with gilt, green, red, and dark blue courtly figures set before an abstracted mountain landscape. Underside of vase marked "made in Japan" with red signature obliterated by drilled hole. Approximate height of pottery 12.25", diameter 6.5". Overall approximate height 10.75".
