English, early 20th century. A ladies stained wood and leather inset writing table having a\ pierced gilt metal galleried superstructure with two drawers to each side centered by a sloping hinged compartment opening to fitted interior above a gilt tooled scarlet leather inset writing surface and two frieze drawers, each with individual Cope and Collison locking mechanisms, the whole decorated with blind fretwork and raised on four slender cabriole legs carved at the knee with foliage and terminating in hoof feet.
