Substantial brass lidded two handle coal hod (or coal scuttle, bucket or pail) of urn form, lid topped with urn form finial with leaf tip surround, body with two beaded cartouches flanked by acanthus leaf trios, body with two drop ring handles with leaf tip surround, body supported on four splayed legs with leaf and berry motif, with lion's paw foot, four legs mounted to circular support with beading motif, apparently unmarked. Overall approximate height 22", diameter at mouth 12".
