French, late 19th/ early 20th century. A charming bronze and ormolu mounted double inkwell comprising an ovular glass plateau raised on four paw feet with figural harpy mask shoulders and issuing a pieced 2/3 gallery to backside with repeating motif of heraldic shields and objects over floral garlands joined by torch form piers, the glass mounted with two beehive form inkwells each with integral saucer, domed cylindrical form hive cast with bees, and hinged lid opening to reveal interior well. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 5", width 8.75", depth 7.75".
