Japanese, 20th century. A collection of four cigarette cases comprising one mixed metal case with silver and copper bearing decoration to interior exterior of a continuous hilly scene with figures walking up and down the hill, the interior and exterior being mirror images of each other, signed to back cover and inscribed "silver" to interior; a cloisonne style case with red, blue, and green palatial architecture scene to cover, a dragon in the sea to back cover, and their mirrored images to interior, unmarked; a shakudo metal case with golden leopard or tiger to front cover bearing teeth as it peers at crescent moon, the interior undecorated, back cover marked "ND" within square cartouche over "k24"; and a smaller shakudo case with golden mountain village scene to front cover, birds in flight to back cover, the interior undecorated, calligraphic seal to back cover. Silver case approximately 3.125" x 4.375", approximate weight 4.18 troy ounces.
