American, 20/21st century. A large, glazed and polychromed decorative studio ceramic pillow vase or bowl, having a wide, flatted and tapering form, with an organic, uneven lip, glazed in black and lower in the front, revealing a geometrically patterned glossy yellow glazed interior, with a painted matte yellow exterior decorated with green organically shaped squares with black scumbling, incised with striped zig zags with purple scumbling and natural carving, pierced with a organic handle or opening with a purple ring, and tapering to an organic round base. Apparently unsigned. Approximate height 15", width 23.75", depth 4".
