Likely Asian, late 19th/ early 20th century. A pair of lacquered wood panels of panoramic rectangular form with dark brown stained ground bearing red and white lacquer peony buds and blossoms scattered along picture plane with a diminutive tree form at left end of one and right end of the other thereby acting as bookends for the composition, the panels each to simple lacquered wood frames. Each approximately 17.75" x 44".
