Japanese, 20th century. Cloisonne enamel table vase with elongated octagonal gilt metal rim above bulbous body with medallions on each side with architectural scene (one with stepped entrance to palace, the other with river with figures in wooden boat, green trees surrounding village and large pagoda against blue sky with large stylized clouds), scrolled foliates and pink flowers on blue ground, lappet border on bottom of flared octagonal foot with leaf tip ornamentation, gilt rim on foot. Vase supported on ebonized pierced wood stand. Unmarked. Vase height approximately 10". Overall height (including stand) approximately 11.4". Provenance: From the Estate of Channing S.
