Asian, 20th century. A finely carved figural group soapstone sculpture depicting nine Buddhist figures, possibly a depiction of the Buddhist or Taoist Immortals, standing together on cloud scrolls placed along a rocky cliff with a deer and crane represented below, the stone to a fitted naturalistically carved wood base. Apparently unmarked. Overall approximate height 12.75", width 9.25", depth 5".
