American, circa 1890. A Victorian child's stained wood platform carpet rocker rocking chair or salesman sample, having a spindle turned crest rail over a rectangular upholstered back within incised turned uprights, the turned, incised arms having covered rests and spindle turned supports with upholstered seat raised on a platform rocking base. Rocker is covered in avocado green upholstery and secured with nailhead trim. Approximate height 28.75", width 16" (arm to arm), seat depth 11.5", seat height 10".
