Presto Cigarette Case Corporation (American (Massachusetts), 1920s-30s). A sterling silver cigarette case with spring loaded hinged flap and engine turned gold-toned guilloche decoration to the interior, the exterior to one side with oval monogram "D.M.H." and horizontal pinstripes. The interior rim of lid stamped "STERLING"; the other side stamped "PAT-DEC-14-1915 PRESTO PAT-AUG-15-1916. Approximate height 3", width 4". Approximately 3.1 troy ounces. Note: Original advertisement for case can be found in American Magazine, Volume 88, page 189, dated 1919, original cost $16.75.
