Continental, 20th century. A French Neoclassical style mahogany commode, having a rectangular red marble top with chamfered corners, resting on a conforming case with gilt metal mounts, fitted with an upper drawer above two cabinet doors, each with three veneered satinwood marquetry panels with banded edges, mounted with gilt metal pulls and key escutcheons, with a shaped skirt and tapered incurvate legs terminating in foliated gilt metal toe caps. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 33", width 31", depth 16.5".
