A collection of four hand colored English aquatints from Rudolph Ackermann's (German, 1764-1834) Microcosm of London (1808-10) by Thomas Rowlandson (English, 1756-1827) and Augustus Charles Pugin (English, 1762-1832) after John Bluck (English, active 1791-1819), published by Rudolph Ackermann (German, 1764-1834), comprising "House of Lords"-circa 1809, hand colored aquatint depicting the interior of the upper house of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, called the House of Lords; "The Roman Catholic Chapel-circa 1808, hand colored aquatint depicting the interior of the Sardinian Embassy Chapel in the Lincoln's Inn area of London; "Society for the Encouragement of Arts"-1809, hand colored aquatint depicting a meeting of the Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures, and Commerce in an elaborately decorated room, with frescoes and domed sky light above; "West India Docks"-1810, hand colored aquatint depicting the trade ship docks of London.
