American, 20th century. A Federal-style mahogany secretary with burlwood inlay, the upper section with two mullion glazed doors with fretwork, opening to reveal shelving, and topped with an inlaid and bronze mounted pediment, with a central eagle and two pointed orbs. The lower section with five drawers, two loper, one long, and two medium, each with burlwood inlay and brass hard wear, and two side stretchers pulling out to support a hinged writing surface with green felt. Supported by four tapering legs with floral inlay. Pull-out stretchers with Roman numerals "VI". Approximate height 81", width 38, depth 18".
