American, 19th/20th century. A mahogany Empire-style tea caddy, having a rectangular form with black banded inlay edges, and a round key escutcheon, opening to reveal a central round compartment lined with black leather, flanked by two rectangular compartments, each with a removable, lidded mahogany box. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 6", width 12", depth 6".
