Continental, likely Italian, mid 20th century. A Neoclassical style carved and polychromed daybed, having matching arms or ends, each with a scrolled top with an acanthus carved crest rail and giltwood acanthus end-caps, with incurvate acanthus carved sides, the center upholstered in red, white and gray floral linen, with egg and dart molded base boards flanked on either side by floral patera blocks, resting on fluted and tapered feet. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 41.5", width 75.25", depth 44".
