Continental School, 20th century. Manner of Claude Michel Clodion (French, 1738-1814), "Bacchanalian Figural Group", terracotta sculpture with patinated stone finish, marked to underside with Double-L or Double-Louis maker's mark indicating Sevres (French, founded 1740), and inscribed to underside "FRANCE". Figural group sculpture depicting two female figures, one nude and one draped in flowing robes, each with bacchanalian crowns composed of grape leaves and grape clusters, one of the women being held by a bacchanalian or Pan figure, her right arm extended overhead with grape cluster in hand, with small bacchanalian child grasping for her left hand. Overall approximately 19.75" x 11.5" x 10".
