Italian, early 19th century. A carved walnut cabinet or desk, mounted on a stand, with a drop-front drawer front and hinged top, opening to reveal a writing surface and four small drawers flanking an alcove, above a lower central drawer, mounted on a stand with four turned legs and a cross stretcher, and embellished with carving, including egg and dart molding, a scrolled apron, and female figures to the front. With circular metal drawer pulls. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 42.75", width 29.6", depth 12.1".
