English, 1890. A Queen Anne style diminutive or petite size walnut bureau bookcase secretaire, in two pieces, the upper case having a dome top with molded cornice over a frieze decorated with raised Chinoiserie designs including architecture, landscape, figures and animals on green ground above a single glazed door opening to an interior with three adjusting wood shelves over two small drawers, the lower case with slant front opening to an interior fitted with six valanced pigeon holes, three small drawers and a central open cubbyhole, above four reverse serpentine, graduated drawers, each with individual locking mechanisms and drop pulls, raised on cabriole legs carved at knee and terminating in pad feet. Approximate height 79.25', width 24", depth 17".
