Jacob Eby (American (Manheim, Pennsylvania), 1776-1828), early 19th century. A mahogany tall-case clock, having a broken pediment bonnet, supported by two turned columns, with a glazed door opening to reveal a hand painted dial beneath moon phase with Roman numerals within chapter ring and fluted spandrels, atop a cove molded waist and flat panel base, each with line inlaid chamfered corners, and a shaped lip pendulum door with oval line inlay, resting on bracket feet, with a federal eagle inlaid roundel. Dial signed "Jacob Eby Manheim". Approximate height 95", width 18.6", depth 10.5".
