Continental, first half 20th century. A pair of patinated and parcel-gilt bronze blackamoor torchiere lamps, each cast as a young shirtless boy wearing flowing loin cloth standing in contrapposto with one foot supported on a taller bank of stone, with one arm raised up and one lowered in support of a horn form torch with scrolling tapered end and acanthus leaf detailing, the figures with short cropped hair, hoop earrings, hoop anklets, and standing to a tall integral rectangular base with chamfered corners bearing scrolling acanthus leaves topped with rose clusters with the planes of the base with rectangular cartouches bearing leaf tip medallions. Approximate height 69.75", width 15", depth 11".
