Milton Hebald (American, 1917-2015), "Primavera"-1974, carved wood, signed and dated "Hebald 1974". Figural carved wood sculpture depicting a nude woman whose legs extend suggesting graceful forward movement, with a toddler or baby perched on her right shoulder, with organic tendrils extending from either side of the woman's form, each tendril and the figure's left leg forming a tripod-like stand. With inscription to reverse of figure "FOR CECILLE WITH LOVE." Overall approximately 74" x 25" x 35". Note: Hebald famously produced what was then the largest public sculpture in the world, the 12-piece "Zodiac Screen" commissioned by Pan-American Airlines and displayed in John F. Kennedy International Airport.
