Chinese, first half 20th century. A small rectangular porcelain plaque handpainted with a mountain landscape bearing small hut to foreground surrounded by a high fence with travelers entering and exiting through an open gate, the house set beside a river with bridge to middle ground holding a rider on horseback, the scene set in winter with snow covering all surfaces and haze obscuring the distant landscape. Inscribed upper left with lines of black calligraphy and a red seal mark. Framed approximately 13.875" x 9.75". Sight size approximately 12.25" x 8".
