Japanese, early 20th century. A pair of very fine chased and repousse copper panels, one depicting a standing mature crane, the other depicting a mature phoenix leaning forward toward leafy stalks on ground surrounded by a chicken and two hatchlings, each to a black metal frame. Phoenix panel signed lower right with calligraphic marks. Each overall approximately 22.75" x 11.5".
