Japanese, likely 19th century Edo Period (1603-1868). A pair of cloisonne enamel floor vases of turned form with globular body raised on domical foot and having flared lotus form mouth, the whole covered in teal blue ground enamel decorated with flowers, prunus fruit, diaper patterning, and scale patterning surrounding large shaped cartouches to body filled with potted prunus plants and dragons. Underside of each with calligraphic signature and impressed calligraphic mark. Approximate height 30.5", diameter of mouth 12.75". Provenance: From the Estate of Channing S.
