American, New York, 19th century. A burled mahogany veneer Empire game table, having a swiveling flip top serpentine form square top with chamfered corners, resting on a conforming apron decorated with raised scrolled carved decoration, on a pierced and scrolled pedestal with a central heart, resting on a rectangular serpentine form base with trefoil form bracket feet. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 29.75", width 34.6" depth (closed) 18.5", depth (open) 37".
