English, early 19th century. A Regency period tortoiseshell tea caddy, with a domed top inlaid with silver piping and centered with a silver ball pull, with a silver shield key escutcheon and monogrammed cartouche reading "JEB", raised on ball feet. Hinged lid opens to reveal a burgundy velvet lining and two compartments, each with a tortoiseshell lid centered with a turned bone pull. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 6.5", width 6.75", depth 3.8".
