Indo-Persian, late 19th/ early 20th century. A Moroccan jambiya koummya dagger comprising a carved hardwood handle with arched silver pommel with five facets to end, silver ferrule, and traditional form curving scabbard, all silver hand chased with intricate floral scroll motif, the scabbard front with a monogram cartouche, with drop rings to either side of collar holding later shoulder cord, with double edged curving blade to interior of unadorned white metal. One side of scabbard bearing indistinguishable seal mark, likely a silver standard mark, impressed "1335", and mark in Arabic (likely a maker's mark), the scabbard back with repeated numerical and Arabic marks. Overall length approximately 17.25". Unsheathed approximately 16.25". Blade length approximately 9.25".
