Theodore Alexander (founded 1996), contemporary. A matched set of six mahogany dining chairs comprised of two arm and four side chairs, from the "Althorp Living History" collection, each having a foliate carved top rail and pierced vase splat between waisted uprights above an cigar brown leather drop-in seat on acanthus leaf scroll carved cabriole legs terminating in claw and ball feet. The seat rail painted with the Spencer crest. Approximate height of armchairs 39.5", width 29.75" (arm to arm), seat depth 17", seat height 19.5". Approximate height of side chairs 39.25", width 23.25" (knee to knee), seat depth 17", seat height 19.5". Note: These chairs are after the original George III chair, circa 1760, where were in the home of the late Princess Diana of Wales.
