English, early 19th century. A painted dresser or trinket box, with two hinged lids, one large and one small, each opening to reveal interior compartments lined in pink paper. Overall painted in faux wood grain, and inset with applied transfer decorations depicting scenes of 19th-century London, each within a painted border, including a central scene appearing to be the Houses of Parliament on the larger lid, two views of the Thames on the smaller lid, and two roundels to the front of residential London. With a lower key escutcheon and a bright green base. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 2.8", width 7", depth 6.5".
