Continental School (likely Austrian), late 19th/ early 20th century. A cold painted bronze figural sculpture depicting a classical female nude standing in full length with drapery obscuring her lower half secured by a cord around her shoulder, with one hand lifting drape above face and the other palm facing outward, the young beauty's face crowned with curled hair piled atop head and secured by a wrap around her forehead, the figure backed by a patinated bronze naturalistic tree trunk covered in grape leaves and bunches and issuing a small candle platform or tazza at top, with an oversized orchid resting on ground beneath the figure's feet, the grouping altogether raised on a turned gilt base with beaded band surrounded by patinated and pierced bronze form of c-scrolls and acanthus leaves raised on four scrolling feet. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 17.75", width 11.5", depth 10.5".
